Miniature fanfares herald the various acts, and bring the piece to a rousing finish. This is a complex piece for the more able ensemble. Starting in B flat major and modulating to A flat major adds fingering difficulties, while the time signature is mainly 5. 8 time but frequently changes through both 4. 4 and 6. 8 time making the counting quite a challenge. Well worth the effort.
